Monthly Amazon Haul: June, part I
The month of May got away from me, so this Amazon haul is coming at you a few days late. We (and by we, I mean Tim) broke our Chemex again, so ordered another. I love coffee this way and it’s a pretty good bang for your buck compared to higher end systems. We purchased additional OXO kitchen shears and spring-loaded poultry shears. OXO makes the best kitchen gadgets. We also stocked up on bag clips.. these are 10 for approximately $10 and come in an array of colors. I shared these pillows in my previous post and have still been impressed with them. They are fluffy without cranking on your neck but also still have support and don’t flatten like a pancake. A rare combo and a plus for everyone’s spine. I’ve had my eye on this coffee table book, Made for Living, and finally purchased it for our built ins. I can’t wait to flip through it. One of my repeat purchases includes this Soil Acidifier by Jobes Organics. The key to keeping hydrangeas blue / purple is acidic soil. Here in Northern California, our soil tends to lean towards alkaline and that means pink hydrangeas. Sprinkle this at the base of your hydrangeas for blue-ish blooms. Lastly, this kinesiotape is also a frequent repurchase of mine. As a Physical Therapist, I highly recommend using kinesiotape. It can be used for a variety of injuries, to inhibit or facilitate muscles and for swelling reduction. I really like the particular brand because it stays put but also isn’t a beast to take off. If the tape is too sticky or you pull it off too fast, you can risk taking the top layer of skin off.
