Entryway Refresh
Our entryway is one of my favorite parts of our home. I love the ceilings that extend up to the second floor and the natural light pouring in the windows. I wanted this space to feel a bit cozier as our previous set up felt stale. It was time for a refresh. We decided to get the table built custom, as most everything else we saw was either too long or not tall enough. I sent over a photo of an antique elm console table and they were able to match it for a fraction of the cost. We replaced our hooks with this rattan holder from McGee & Co. to add some texture and additional space to hang hats. Our mirror was purchased 3 years ago and is currently sold out, but for size reference this one is 37” round. My advice; don’t be afraid to go big on a mirror. You will appreciate the depth it adds to your space.
Next up, this beauty of a lamp. I’ve been on the hunt for an alabaster lamp for quite some time now. I met Allie (Market & Goods) through Instagram and instantly loved her curated collection and Etsy shop. I put a little bug in her ear that if she ever came across one, I’d be interested. Well, she found a stunner. The detail and veining in the marble is absolutely beautiful. Tim named her Loretta, and it stuck. The shade is the Linen Slope Shade from Restoration Hardware in size B. Woven hat is one of my favorite sun hats with great face coverage.
Fresh blooms always liven up a space. I’m a sucker for hydrangeas because they last for weeks and Trader Joes usually has them year round. Glass vase is from McGee & Co. I love the slightly ribbed texture. Woven basket is from The Shop by Design Shop Interiors, local to the Sacramento area. I prefer woven trays especially in an entryway where you might be tossing your keys or sunglasses when you come in the door. Last but definitely not least, this beautiful glass Kendall Hurricane from Tucker Glass and Design. Each item is hand made and this particular hurricane is made with a pineapple mold that gives this optic look. All of his products are all heavy duty glass and the quality is impeccable. I also have the Posey Vase which is perfect for small flowers.
