JOSHUA TREE

I went on vacation by myself. 

In March, I booked a last minute ticket and flew down to Palm Springs for a long weekend. I was a little apprehensive to take a trip solo, but figured what the heck. Worst case scenario, I would lay by the pool, book and wine in hand, and soak up a few rays. Sounded like a fabulous time to me. 

I had been in contact with an old friend, Steph, before I left and we decided to meet up in Joshua Tree for a shoot. We hadn't seen each other in years but picked up right where we left off while we explored what is now, one of my favorite places. Steph has a blog, www.thesaltyrenegade.com (go check it out!!) and also helped team up with a Phoenix based shop, VIDA | MOULIN, who provided the lovely dresses. 

Joshua Tree is absolutely spectacular. The rock formations are like nothing I have ever seen before. Plus, the spunky little Joshua Trees are not found anywhere else in the world. The golden desert lighting and cotton candy sunset did not disappoint. 

Traveling alone is incredibly liberating. I hope everyone has a chance to experience it at some point in their life. I left this weekend, cup overflowing.
