Desk Accessories

Personally, when I feel organized, I am much more productive. Nothing aids my procrastination more than seeing items scattered around, without a home. I’ve been on the hunt for a few desk accessories that keep things in their place but can also be repurposed to another room or spot if I want to change things up. You don’t need to go too overboard or specific for desk organizing, because pieces that are too small or awkwardly shaped can run the risk of not being fully utilized. I stuck to trays, a container for pens / pencils and a mousepad. You can also add cute stationary or a vase with florals to finish off the look.

Trays: I purchased two trays; one that functions more as a catch all and one that helps organize letters and mail. Mail seems to find its way to our island or dining table, and there it lives for far too long. These two types of trays can help keep larger items and smaller items in their appropriate places.

Pen cups: This has been an interesting item to search for… I was honestly shocked at how expensive some “pen cups” are. I’m not against a coffee type mug (which is definitely an option) but I was looking for something slightly larger. I found small canisters and toothbrush holders to be the perfect size. Old candle jars are also an option too.

Mouse pads: I found that Etsy seems to be the best spot in terms of price and options. Here are a couple if you are looking to toss the old palm tree island scene.
